Mom and Dad...
Oh yes, still us. Poor kid!..
So many things have been going on in the past 24 weeks, where do we begin? Well, we figured out that conception was on Rose Bowl night. We have had several sonogram and Dr. visits. All have been going very well according to the Dr. and nurses. As of the last Dr. appt., on Friday the 23rd, the baby was 1 lb 9 oz and active as all hell can be. Mom is under the average weight for how far along she is and the baby is above average for how far along she is. They both look SO cute!
Mom had pretty bad morning sickness during her first trimester, but fortunately did not ralph, although she felt like it EVERY day. She slept more than a cat and was hysterically (in a funny way) emotional. We both got some good laughs after the crying for NO reason.
Second trimester went MUCH better. Exactly what all of the books said, it's like they have experience or something. Morning sickness stopped, energy came back and OOOHHH the cravings! Actually, mom has only been craving ONE thing... and I quote, "But the baby wants a Blizzard!" For those that don't know, a Dairy Queen Blizzard is a very thick creamy ice cream with your choice of candy blended in. I guess the "baby" already likes Snickers. We are currently trying to get the Blizzard machine so we can make it at home to make life easier for all!
We are at the start of the third trimester and just waiting to see if the books are correct, why wouldn't they be right? So far, we have started to feel the baby's big foot kicking, cramping from the growing, back pains are starting, the occasional waddling, lack of balance and energy levels depleting. It's all SO cute to see mom going through these changes. The clothes are starting to pile up already, but they are SO cute and hard to resist from buying them! Plus, we have gotten a ton from family and friends! We are currently working on painting the baby's room and furniture has been ordered.
We will keep you posted on more updates with the baby as they occur...
Now, for the other cutie that has already blessed our QUICKLY growing family, Lexi! She is the cutest little, well was little for about 2 weeks, Rotty you have ever seen. As soon as we saw mom and dad we picked her right out. She has been a pretty well behaved little girl, if we can just get past this teething stage I think we will be good. For the first few months she gained 7 pounds every 3 weeks. This last 3 weeks she gained 10 pounds and went through 25 pounds of food. Poop is unfortunately not puppy size anymore, mom would not know this though as she is not the poop pickerupper type.
