Family update...
Where do I begin... I can start off by saying that, baby and mom and doing GREAT! Kalli is still moving around a lot but will never do it when I'm trying to feel her. Mom just had her diabetes test and had to drink the lovely orange... We'll call it non carbonated soda. We had to do 2 visits for the sono because they didn't write down the correct dates, needless to say I was a little ticked, but that's ok because we got to see little Kalli 2 times and got lots of pictures. On the last visit Erica got a questionnaire, It was very overwhelming for her when she first read it and it still is. Let's see, should she get an enema before delivery? I think she should get one now! Does she want a mirror during delivery? She doesn't even use a mirror when she drives! Does dad want to cut the cord? Only if he can bring his own tools. How long does mom want be in the hospital? Does dad have a say in how long they can keep her! (just kidding of course) These are just a few of our decisions we have to ponder.
The baby's room is STILL not complete. I'm SO tired of it. 2 coats of paint on the ceiling, 1 coat of primer and 2 gallons of paint on the walls and it's still not ready. At least I had help doing 1 coat. I'm NEVER going to paint any form of reddish, pinkish, purpleish, blueish, whitish every again. We got another gallon of paint and are going to finish it today! Then I have to get started on putting together all of the furniture. Why can't they assemble these things for you? I mean, you almost have to be a fricken carpenter and have a contractors license. At least they put the finish on the wood. As much as it sounds like I'm complaining, well I am but I really do LOVE doing this stuff.
On to the other little girl, Lexi. Do I even have to say she's getting big? She was going to get spade but we found out she had some
hereditary skin disease that the vet wants to get taken care of before she does the surgery, BUMMER. She ok though, just has to take lots of baths and a cherry syrup like medication. Her teeth are getting GINORMOUS!!!! I think she's lost all of her puppy teeth and is almost done with the teething phase, thank the good lord above! She is still kind of iffy about the lake but is definitely loving the pool.
The last little girl, mom. She has been SUCH a trooper! Starting to get a little more tired again, complaining about how fat she "thinks" she is and craving ANYTHING with sugar in it. I have NOTHING to complain about! She looks UNBELIEVABLY good, has pretty good control of her hormones and is not having unreasonable sweets cravings to where I have to go get ice cream at 3 in the morning (also because I keep a stock of ice cream in the freezer for those occasions). She's still trying to stay as active as possible by taking the dog for walks as often as she can. We finally finished registering at Baby's-R-Us and Target which is a big relief for her and of course for me. It's all under her name since she's the boss.
Since we are talking about the whole family I might as well throw in some quickies about me. I start up soccer again today and can't WAIT to get back out there and kick some a$$. NOT looking forward to playing in the 182 degree weather though. I also started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing and a little bit of boxing. FUN!!!!! This has to be one of the funnest things I have EVER been involved in. It's super physical and there isn't a night that I don't leave there completely exhausted to the point to where I'm nauseous and have a headache or have some pretty crazy bruises. I'm learning boxing skills, kicks, arm bars, leg locks, chokes, all that fun stuff. As soon as momma has the baby I will show her all of this so she can kick my butt when I get out of line.
That's about all for now. We'll try and get some more up here in the next few weeks. For those of you that I didn't lose in the first few sentences, here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Everybody stay safe, stay up and stay happy!!!
I know it's hard to tell but it's Kalli's face and hand. Forehead to the right of the picture going to her chin on the left. Hand is at the top of the picture.
The picture above is another side view with the baby's head on the left side going to her body on the right.
Picture below, she is facing the camera and smiling with her chubby cheeks
Look at that foot and them toes! She's already got flip flop ready toes.
See what I mean about the bruises...
