Rose Bowl Baby

Yes it has been too long...

So before it came up on the 2 month mark of not writing a blog I figured we better at least write SOMETHING before the baby was born...

As previously stated it has been 2 months but seems like yesterday. Time is just FLYING by as we only have about 3 weeks before the due date. If you ask momma about time she will say it is going WAY to slow and dragging on.

Let’s start off with momma... She has been doing WONDERFUL! Not really having too many pains or discomforts. Swollen toes and ankles but that's about it. She keeps complaining that her feet look like little sausages or Fred Flinstone's, but I insist to her that his are more callist. :) She still has yet to purchase more than about 3 articles of maternity clothing, she is fighting having to make those purchases every step of the way! She is down to her weekly visits to the Dr. for check ups and I'm sure she is going to be BEGGING him to get Kalli out ASAP. She is SO ready to have the baby. Me on the other hand am trying to get her to hold off as long as possible, I'm not ready to kiss my sleep goodbye just yet. She is having NO problems sleeping in on the weekends if I'm the one to get up first with the dog. She's overall just been doing AWESOME in my eyes!!!

Next we will talk about baby Kalli... On our last visit to the Dr. last week we got to see the little cutie one last time until she's born. We had a sono and were able to determine that she is about 6lbs. Dr. says if she goes full term she should be around mid 7's. Everything looked good and to specs as they were searching around. Erica asked if she was still a she and they did reconfirm that indeed she was. It crossed my mind, "What if she ended up being a he?" OH well, "he" better like the paint job of the room because it is NOT changing! We are looking forward to seeing HER soon! :)

Our other little girl Lexi... Wow how much she has grown. She is 7 months and is weighing in at 60lbs. Not fat at all so that's a good thing. I'm constantly watching her weight and adjusting her food accordingly to help prevent hip/joint problems. We've only had one accident upstairs for a long time so that is good. She is behaving excellent on walks and I got a good report from mom when she took her walking in the trails by the house. She knows what "nice" is when we are giving her a treat. We hold a treat in front of her and tell her to be nice and she will slowly open her mouth just enough to get the treat, Erica thinks it is SO cute (it is). Other than that, pretty much the same cute dog just bigger.

How cute, she thinks it's her birthday! They only lasted about 2 minutes.

We discovered Lexi loves T.P., FUN!

Now the moment you all have been waiting for, ME! I'm SO just kidding! :) I'm actually pretty boring in the sense that it's been the same old. Still doing the Mixed Martial Art with Jiu Jitsu still being my favorite but really starting to enjoy the boxing side as well. I’ve been super busy hanging and organizing things all over the house. Super excited because I was able to clean the garage and organize it a little more. I had the oportunity to play in the NFL Alumni Golf Tournament here in Austin and my team ended up winning. We went to the playoffs to play 3 other teams that came in 1st and 2nd place at the other golf course but we ended up loosing. It was a BLAST though! Oh yea, I started soccer again! I'm excited but it was BRUTALLY hot! So hot that we take 1 "water" break each half. I'll enjoy playing while I can til baby comes. I'm excited, nervous, scared, anxious... pretty much every feeling you can think of, in anticipation of the baby. I guess that just makes me human.

Just because I'm in Texas it doesn't mean I can't catch a wave!

Momma and I have been doing a lot together to get things ready for the baby. I am happy to announce that we are about 98% completed with the baby's room. We did a lot more hanging of decorations and fluff over the weekend and it looks more complete. About the only thing left is the wallpaper border. Spare bedroom is a little more guest friendly and appealing to the eye as Erica ordered a new bedding set. Guest bathroom received a few more final touches. Kitchen cabinets all got reorganized and we were able to make some good space for baby paraphernalia. Downstairs bathroom finally got the needed fixtures to complete the remodel. All baby items are now put together and functional. Which brings me to something VERY important that I almost forgot...

THANK YOU TO ALL THAT CONTRIBUTED FOR ALL OF OUR SHOWERS!!!!! We can not thank everybody enough! Seriously, we are truly blessed to have the friends, family and co-workers that we do! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! We had 3 showers. One in San Diego with mostly my friends and family. One at her mom's for that side of the family and one at work with all of the co-workers/friends. All 3 were a HUGE help to us and were a lot of fun! Extra special thank you to those that helped set all 3 of them up, we love you guys for it!

We will try our best to update the blog again before the baby comes with pictures of the room and any further updates. Let us know if there is anything in particular you would like us to include or not include so we can try to make this as interesting as possible for everybody. Thank you all for everything and we'll talk soon...

Not sure where to post this but I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of National Clicks?

Can someone help me find it?

Overheard some co-workers talking about it all week but didn't have time to ask so I thought I would post it here to see if someone could help me out.

Seems to be getting alot of buzz right now.

    Thanks
