Long over due update from dad...

Where do I begin??? It has been a while since the blog has been updated and even LONGER since I have done the updating myself. So bare with me as this might take a while… :) Let’s see, oh where to begin… I will start off by reiterating the fact that I have to be the luckiest man alive!!! I have an AMAZING woman by my side. Putting up with me, supporting me in the things that I do and want to do, loving me and being the best mom for my daughter that I could ever ask for! I LOVE YOU BABY!!!!Enough of the mushy stuff, onto Kalli. She is now 24 weeks old. For those of us who don’t live our lives by weeks, and for all of the men reading this, she is 5 ½ months. WOW how time flies! Speaking of men being different from women, lavender is a flower not a color, peach is a fruit not a color. Ok, random but I feel better now. :) Kalli is rolling over like a champ and doing a little more teething. She discovered her tongue and seemed to enjoy sticking it out at everybody. She took her first trip on the lake outside of mommy’s belly. We got her a little life jacket and all. She had a blast and was cute as hell!

She is completely on formula now, no more of the good stuff for her. It’s working out good though! We are teaching her to hold her own bottle and she picked that up quick. I think I found somebody that loves food more then I do! This girl FLIPS out if she sees the bottle and she hungry. It’s really cute though. The down fall to the formula is the poop. She’s got that down as well! I have to give mom credit as she is the one who has to deal with that since the baby is really good about doing that during the day on mom’s shift. Daddy’s little girl!Let’s see, what’s new with mom? She was feeling a little under the weather for a couple of days. I think we have it nipped so she is feeling better. She is also OH so close to finishing her classes for her Real Estate license. 3 down and 2 to go. I’m really proud of her for being so motivated about it and following thru with it! I know she will do well and I can’t wait for her to complete her goal. She has also motivated me to go on a diet so we started it together. We had a good first week but kind of blew it over the weekend since she had her friend Kristy in town, we HAD to do SaltLick! (SaltLick = the best all you can eat bar-b-que in Texas)

Mommy has been going for a morning walk/jog/run with the baby. She reads to her, play’s with her, interacts a lot with her, watches Baby Einstein with her and Lexi, she does everything a wonderful mom would be doing and then some!!!

Lexi… OOOOHHHHH Lexi! She just celebrated her birthday last month. Well, she didn’t really celebrate it, but if we would have remembered the exact date and been around and got her a cake and a jumpy and invited her friends, we would have actually “celebrated” it. Can you believe she is 1 years old already? Time fly’s when you are having fun and chasing a dog around the house and keeping her from eating your shoes and underwear and your sprinklers and ANYTHING that is the baby’s. We love her SO much though. She really is a good dog, not perfect but very good, for a puppy! As for me, not much new. I’m finally officially in sales! When I first transferred over to the sales/marketing dept there was a need for me to start doing proposals. It was a GREAT learning experience to see more in depth about our products and what goes on behind the scenes. I did that for 3 weeks and this week a started learning laws and regulations for government contracts. It is all a learning experience and I’m trying to soak it all in. I’m trying to hang in there with my diet and exercise but it hard to peel myself away from the girls. To solve that problem I decided to wake up and go running before work, while the girls were asleep. Why did I decide to do this??? That was the only thing going thru my mind as the dog was dragging me in the 30 degree weather at 6:30 in the morning. For those that don’t know me that well let me fill you in, I’m NOT a morning person, I do NOT like the cold and despite me loving soccer, I HATE to run (one of the reasons I play goalie)! The next morning was just as cold and even harder to get out of bed, “I’ll take the morning off” Needless to say I’ve only been running a couple of mornings but I’ve set my alarm on several occasions. It’s a start ok!
Good night for now....
