She loves beans!

My Mom and I went to the Cheesecake Factory one afternoon for lunch and she had some black beans. As you can see she loved them...they were all over her face. She is trying different kinds of foods instead of just canned baby food...how boring is that? So far so good...no allergic reactions.
Beans are so good!
Cheese! Look at all those teeth!
We went to the Cattle Baron's ball with my Mom and Sterling and some of their friends. We had such a good time and Kalli was taken care of by our friend Karen! Thank you OH so much!!
Chico is a real cowboy now. He is the proud owner of cowboy boots and a hat. Yeehaa.

Chico turned the big 30 while we were in Puerto Vallarta. We didn't do anything for him because it was the rehearsal dinner that night and we were just too busy with wedding stuff. So, we had a little get together for him at my Mom's with cake, ice cream and presents.Happy Birthday OLD MAN!
Grandma Vangie sent this little floaty for the pool. I blew it up and she loved playing in it without the water. So, she is ready for the summer and loved the pool in Puerto Vallarta. I am looking into swim lessons right now. Fun stuff!

So, we have a little climber/daredevil on our hands. We were at my Mom's house one night for dinner and Kalli was showing us all how she can crawl so well in their living room. Well, we were all up in the kitchen talking and I was sitting by these two steps that lead up to the kitchen and I guess she wanted to join us. She crawled up two steps! We were all screaming with praise for her! She also likes to climb up on boxes, our legs, hampers, anything and everything that she can pull herself up to a standing position. I can't wait to get her into gymnastics! She is a strong girl!!!

    Standing up!
You better play nice or my dog is gonna eat you!!

As Kalli was getting a bath I turned a little stream of water for her to play with from the faucet. She started to feel it with her hands then went right for it with her mouth. She would get it up her nose and her face wet most of the time, but kept going back for more of that cool water. She also prefers to drink water from our cups or water bottles, doesn't care too much for the sippy cup and I even put a little juice/water mixture in there because I thought she would like the juice. Nope, she's a water girl..........which is awesome!!

    7 months and 3 days!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to give you all a quick update about Kalli....sorry no pictures this time. I know, I know, but the reason why is that the digital camera was at the bottom of the diaper bag and bubbles spilled all over it. We got back from Puerto Vallarta a couple of days ago and had to take a disposible camera with us. I will post pictures of our trip as soon as possible. Oh wait, you can see pictures from the professional photographer from the wedding at this web-site:
    www.kasieandtaylor.com
My step-brother Taylor got married down there. It was beautiful! There are so many pictures if you have the time, otherwise I am hoping to get the ones we took posted by Tuesday or Wednesday. Keep in mind....I'm not making any promises;)

Also, we took the video camera and caught Kalli in action.......YES, she's crawling. We finally purchased the software to put video captures of her on the blog. COMING SOON!
Anyway, Kalli is crawling...she gets around, but not too fast. I know that will come. When she has her eye on something she definitely goes after it. I have found her in bed a couple of times just sitting up from a laying position and wondered how she did that....well, she finally showed me in her play room today. Tricky little thing. We are thinking it's time to start baby proofing the house. I was putting clothes away in her room today and put this square little basket in front of her and she likes to climb and pull herself up. So, I let her stand up holding onto the basket, but there is a Minney Mouse nightlight that she reached for and side swiped it. That's when I thought it was time, plus the fact that she's mobile.
What else is new? She loves to eat all kinds of fruits and vegetables so far. She HATES peas with a passion...you should see her face. She spits them out!
I bought her this little mesh thing that holds any kind of fruits or veggies that you want to put in it and she can just suck and chew on the mesh part without chocking while getting all the juices from the fruit or veggie. Great little invention!!
Sleep....she is sleeping up to 12 hours a night now. We put her down between 8 and 9 and then she will wake up around 8 or 9 the next morning. Ever since she was a little baby, she has always loved her sleep. Thank God! She takes little cat naps throughout the day as well. Usually around 11 and 3. I don't have her on a set schedule...she just goes with the flow and can conk out wherever we are at the time. That's one of the MANY things I love about her personality...she is soooo easy going and adaptable. Always has been. I could have 10 of her, but I won't;)
We are so lucky, she hasn't been sick so far, but she has 4 teeth coming in on the top. 3 have already broke through, just waiting for the 4th. She has her bottom 2 teeth already and that wasn't fun...she was pretty darn fussy. But now I guess she has it down and she is dealing with it like a champ. We had to give her Oragel, maybe 4 times to help her because she screamed in pain when they were breaking through, but for the most part she has done great. I am so impressed with how she deals with pain. I am such a baby compared to her.
Our little monkey is growing up so fast. I am so lucky to be able to stay at home to watch her grow before my eyes! She brightens my days, my afternoons, my nights. She is my everything and I would be lost without her!
Well, I think that's about it for now...until next time!
I promise I will get a move on with pictures from PV.

    Tasha, Sam and Sophia visit!

My friend Tasha, her husband Sam, and daughter Sophia came to visit from San Diego. The girls loved playing with eachother and riding in the car side by side in their car seats. It was funny because if one of them started to fuss a little the other would look over and see what was wrong. It seemed like they were thinking to themselves, "why are you crying?" We went to The Picture People and had professional pictures taken of the two. This was Kalli's first time and she did great (meaning she didn't fuss). Sophia is a member, so she was a natural;) I love the one of their little butts. Tash and I were able to sneak out downtown one night. I had a blast! These big boys were along side of the rode so we had to stop and take a picture. Only in TEXAS:)

Glad you guys could come out! We'll be seeing you soon! Kalli sends Sophia kisses and hugs!
