Long overdue update of Kalli Elizabeth

Ok, so it's been forever since I've written about what's new with Kalli. Yes, she is walking and running around like a mad woman. It is awesome to watch her grow and become such an independent little girl now that she's walking. Honestly, it's kinda hard to enjoy going out to lunches or dinners because she doesn't want to sit still...she wants to walk and explore. She started to walk at the beginning of 11 months and then really took off like a pro at the end of 11 months. She will be 13 months on November 2nd.

At her 1 year appt. she weighed 20 pounds and 30 1/2 inches long. She no longer drinks formula and doesn't eat any more baby food. As the pediatrician told us.....we now have a toddler on our hands.

When she came home from San Diego for her 1st birthday she showed me how she can drink out of a straw like a big girl.
She loves to imitate, she loves to dance, she loves to laugh, she loves to eat, she loves to wave, she loves to smile at other kids, she loves to play, she loves gymboree, she loves to climb, she loves her dog, she loves her bear when she goes to sleep, she loves whole milk, she loves Kobe(its like Benihana's where they cook the food in front of you), she loves bath time, she loves bubbles, she loves to swing, she loves to be outside, she loves to walk, she loves to share, she loves to point at things, she loves the A B C's song, she loves......I could go on and on, but I'll stop.

Cute story....last night after dinner we went to get a bath, so I start running the water and put the bubbles in and Kalli opens the cabinet and gets a washcloth and puts it in the bath tub. It was such a big deal to me because usually I get the washcloth out after I run the water and put the bubbles in. She just knew what to do and it was so cute and such a big girl thing to do since she had never done it before because she ususally just watches me til I put her in the tub.

She has 12 teeth now and her hair is getting longer. Chico gave her bangs a little trim the other day because they started getting in her eyes and it was bugging her. She is still a little thumb sucker. Our little monkey is growing up so fast.........where did the time go?
